I was driving past Zennor one misty morning this September in my beloved Suzuki Jimny when the landscape seduced me into screeching to a halt. "Traditional" landscapes aren't really my thing, but with the Mermaid of Zennor and other local myths running through my head, the eerie moor was impossible to ignore.
It looks great on a wall. It's calm, it's a little bit mysterious, and it rewards a proper look. Take your time and you'll spot the fine tangle of branches, a few drops of moisture on the grass, the grit of the moor underfoot and the way the smaller tree seems to be trailing after the larger one.
